It is no secret that gin inspired a lot of poets to write poems. And not the least of them: from Komrij and Nolens to Lucebert. The anthology and exhibition
In order to create a recognizable identity, two elements were taken as a starting point: a silhouette of the classic gin bottle and the rhythm of the lines from poetry. The result is a purified, recognizable shape that became the backbone for all communications.
Pairing a detail from a classic work of art with a contemporary design creates a captivating clash – one that excites. The color palette consisting three color tones is understated yet frivolous, providing character adding a modern twist.
Eventually the identity was applied to numerous elaborations, including: an annex in De Standaard, a temporary website for the expo, animations, a press invitation, posters, advertisements and more.
